Two machining companies in Taiwan fitted new DMG MORI NLX-series turning centres with Mongtec static tooling.

On a 12-station BMT60 turret, Mongtec built a custom single-sided twin-tool OD holder (C25) to a drawing the customer reviewed and signed off before production, together with D40 boring-bar holders with high-pressure through-coolant.

On a 20-station turret, Mongtec supplied double-sided C20 OD holders and D25 ID holders, ER25-to-ER16 quick-change adaptors for the driven tools already on the machine, and precision high-pressure sealed ER32 collets.

Why a drawing sign-off matters

A twin-tool OD block changes the geometry of the whole turret station: centre height, tool overhang and the clearance to the neighbouring station all move together. Issuing a dimensioned drawing for approval before cutting metal is how a special gets made once rather than twice.
