Which one for the job

A shrink-fit holder gives the slimmest profile and the highest runout accuracy, and it needs a shrink machine. A hydraulic holder clamps with a hex key, damps vibration and is the practical choice for reaming and finishing. A mechanical high-precision holder is the cheapest per station and the most tolerant of shop conditions. Send the operation and the machine and Mongtec will say which one is worth the money.

Body diameters (D, D1), gauge lengths (L2, L1) and the set-screw thread (G) are in the printed catalogue and are supplied with the quotation.
