Shrink fit tool holders

A shrink-fit chuck holds the tool by thermal interference — the bore is heated to expand, the shank goes in, and the metal closes on it as it cools. There is no collet, no nut and no moving part, which is why it gives the slimmest profile and the best runout of any holder. Mongtec builds them on every common taper, in 4.5° standard, 4.5° through-coolant and 3° slim forms.

Article number pattern

Article numbers follow {taper}QSF{bore}Q{length}, with K added for the coolant version — for example BT40QSF12Q120, HSK63AQSF16Q160, BT40QSF06Q90K.

Body diameters (D, D1), gauge lengths (L2, L1) and the set-screw thread (G) are in the printed catalogue and are supplied with the quotation.
