A hydraulic chuck clamps by pressing a thin expansion sleeve onto the shank with oil pressure. It grips a full 360°, it damps vibration, and it opens and closes with a hex key — no shrink machine, no heat, no waiting. Because reducing collets drop straight into the bore, one holder covers a whole range of shank diameters instead of one.
| Standard | The main range, all tapers |
|---|---|
| Power design | Heavier body for higher transmissible torque |
| 3° slim | Slim nose for deep cavity and close-wall work |
| For mould | Long reach, 3° taper, mould and die work |
| For grinding | SK50, grinding spindles |
| Short | Compact build where Z travel is tight |
| Morse taper (MTB) | MTB4 and MTB5 bodies |
| Modular | Face-mounted modules, ø60 to ø117 |
| Swiss-type lathe | Square-shank blocks for sliding headstock machines |

Reducing collets slide into the holder bore and are available with coolant channels — the article number then ends in K. Sets are supplied as a holder plus five collets and the key.
| HY12S | 3 – 8 mm |
|---|---|
| HY20S | 3 – 16 mm |
| HY32S | 6 – 25 mm |
| 360° clamping | Uniform pressure around the shank, high rigidity and transmissible torque |
|---|---|
| Runout and tool life | Better dimensional accuracy, less tool breakage and wear |
| Damping | The oil chamber absorbs cutting vibration — visibly better surface finish |
| Hex key setup | Insert, tighten, cut. No induction unit, no cooling wait |
| Collet system | One holder takes many shank diameters |
| Grooved bore | Clamping pressure pushes oil and grease residue into the grooves, keeping the bore dry |
Square-shank hydraulic blocks for sliding-headstock (Swiss-type) lathes, in shank sizes ST16 / ST19.05 / ST20 / ST22 / ST25 / ST25.4. Very few makers cover this — ask if your machine is not listed.
Article numbers follow {taper}Q{form}{bore}Q{length} — QHY standard, QHYP power, QHYS slim, QHYM mould, QHYG grinding. For example BT40QHY12Q90, HSK63AQHYS12Q150, BT40QHYM16Q120.
Body diameters (D, D1), gauge lengths (L2, L1) and the set-screw thread (G) are in the printed catalogue and are supplied with the quotation.
