A machine shop in southern Taiwan running Mazak QUICK TURN machines (QT, QTS and QTE series, BMT68 turret) ordered Mongtec C25 external and D40 internal static tool holders. Both were supplied from stock.
Why stock matters on a BMT68
BMT68 is a large turret interface and the holders for it are not something most shops keep spare. When a holder is damaged or a new job needs a second OD station, the machine waits. Holding the common C25 and D40 sizes on the shelf turns a lead-time problem into a shipping problem.
