Carry two square-shank tools in one turret station. On a turret that is already full, this is how you get another tool into the cycle without giving up a station.

Present the tool to the face of the part rather than the diameter — for facing, grooving and back-turning operations.

The letters are the dimension callouts used on the Mongtec drawing for this holder family. We publish the figures so you can compare envelope and mass across the range, but we deliberately do not label each letter here — which letter is which is defined on the drawing, and the drawing is what you should be working from. Mongtec supplies the full dimensioned drawing by email once an enquiry is open.

Most turrets run a mix. Mongtec publishes 19 driven (live) tool holder article numbers for BMT55 — axial holders for face drilling and tapping, radial holders for cross work. See the BMT55 driven tool holders →
Mongtec publishes tooling pages for these 14 models. Finding your machine here confirms the turret class, not the article number — that still comes from engineering.
A static holder clamps a turning tool or boring bar rigidly in the turret — nothing rotates in the holder itself, the workpiece does the turning. A driven (live) holder takes rotary drive from the turret so a drill or end mill can turn while the spindle is stopped. Most turrets carry a mix: static holders for the turning work, driven holders for the milling, drilling and tapping.
BMT is an industry de-facto standard, not published by ISO or DIN. Two turrets both labelled BMT55 can differ in bolt circle and key position, so the label alone is not enough. Send the machine model and a photograph of the turret face and Mongtec engineering checks it against the actual turret drawing before quoting. That check is free.
Mongtec publishes tooling pages for 14 machine models with a declared BMT55 turret. The catalogue lists these holders for Hwacheon, Hyundai WIA, Jyoti, Samsung / SMEC, Victor.
No. Mongtec supplies the full dimensioned drawing by email once an enquiry is open, so the drawing matches your actual machine and turret configuration.
