Clamping force and admissible torque for the HMC series are published in the catalogue without a stated unit, so they are not reproduced here — Mongtec confirms both figures in writing at RFQ.

HMC7400 clamps the part hydraulically on a machining centre table or pallet. The clamping element is a segmented rubber-vulcanized module: the segments are ground as one piece and then split, so every segment seats fully on the workpiece instead of contacting on three points. That is what holds run-out at ≤ 0.01 mm while still accepting ±0.5 mm of part-to-part variation.
The wide acceptance band is the reason this style of fixture suits automatic loading — a bar-fed or robot-loaded part that lands slightly off nominal is still clamped concentrically, where a conventional three-jaw or spring collet would either miss or clamp off-centre.
The clamping module is replaced without taking the fixture off the spindle. Changing the part size means changing the module, not re-setting the fixture — which is where the time is saved on short runs and mixed batches.
| Model | Clamping range |
|---|---|
| HMC7000 | 20-28 mm |
| HMC7100 | 26-38 mm |
| HMC7200 | 26-54 mm |
| HMC7300 | 50-80 mm |
| HMC7500 | 125-160 mm |
HMC7400 covers a clamping range of 70-125 mm. Within that range the clamping module absorbs up to ±0.5 mm of workpiece variation, which is what makes it suitable for automatic loading.
The fixture body is standard; the connection to your machine is made through a flange matched to your spindle nose. Tell Mongtec the machine and spindle nose and the correct flange is quoted with the fixture.
The rubber clamping module is replaced without removing the fixture from the spindle — a matter of seconds rather than a re-setup. Changing to a different clamping range means changing the module, not the fixture.
Send the machine and spindle nose, the part diameter you need to hold, and whether the parts are loaded by hand, bar feed or robot. Dimensioned drawings are supplied by email once the enquiry is open.
