A driven tool holder that has lost its runout, a bearing that has started to sing, an angle head that no longer holds its output — these are repairable. Mongtec’s Taiwan Service Center repairs and maintains driven tool holders and angle heads from other manufacturers, not only its own. Units are accepted from anywhere in the world. Mongtec Precision is a Taiwanese brand, designed and engineered in Taichung, Taiwan.
The Service Center covers driven (live) tool holders and angle heads. Typical work is bearing replacement, spindle and shaft regrinding, seal and coolant-path renewal, gear inspection and replacement, runout correction and re-inspection. Clamping systems and static toolholding are a different category — ask and Mongtec will tell you whether it can be covered.
These brands are already handled at the Service Center. A brand not listed here is not a refusal — send the model and Mongtec confirms whether it can be repaired.
Units are accepted from anywhere in the world. Send photographs and the model number first — Mongtec will tell you whether shipping the unit is worth the freight before you pay for it. That assessment is free.
Sometimes it is not. Bearings that have run to failure can take the housing bore with them, and at that point a replacement is cheaper than a rebuild. Mongtec will say so rather than quote a repair that will not last. In that case the same interface is available as a new Mongtec unit — the turret or spindle side does not change.
