Mongtec BMT60 Driven Tool Holders

BMT60 sits between the common BMT55 and BMT65 sizes and is used on parts of the DMG MORI CTX and NZX ranges. Because it is not one of the sizes most suppliers stock, it is often the reason a machine ends up running with fewer driven stations than it was built for. Mongtec builds driven and static tooling to this mounting. Mongtec Precision is a Taiwanese brand, designed and engineered in Taichung, Taiwan.

New: BMT bolt patterns by machine builder — a reference table of 38 turret bolt patterns and the machines that use them.

The same model can have a different turret. NZX2500 also exists in a BMT40 build. Check the turret, not the model plate. Send the machine model and a photograph of the turret face — Mongtec engineering checks it against the actual turret drawing before quoting. That check is free and takes one email.

What Mongtec supplies for this mounting

Driven (live) tool holders in axial and radial configurations, static turret tooling, boring bar holders and specials. The wider Mongtec range — hobbing, speed increasers, double output, thread whirling and the rest — is built to this mounting on request.

Custom builds

Special angles, extended reach, high-pressure internal coolant and non-standard collet or arbor mountings are all built to order. If what you need is not a catalogue item, describe the operation and the machine — that is usually enough for engineering to say whether it can be built.

Frequently asked

Is BMT60 the same as BMT65?

No. BMT60 is a distinct turret mounting. A standard BMT holder of any size will not bolt to it, which is why it needs a dedicated holder family. BMT is an industry de-facto standard, not published by ISO or DIN, so sizes outside the common BMT45/55/65/75/85 set are normal rather than unusual.

Which machines use BMT60?

The models listed on this page are the ones cross-referenced from published tooling sources. Several of them also exist in a different turret build, so the model name alone is not proof. Send the machine model and a photograph of the turret face and Mongtec engineering confirms it against the actual drawing. That check is free.

Do you stock this or is it made to order?

Mongtec builds to this mounting. Special angles, extended reach, high-pressure internal coolant and non-standard collet mountings are all within scope. Describe the operation and the machine.

What speed and torque is available?

Ratings are confirmed per build for this mounting rather than published as a fixed table, because the available envelope depends on the turret. Send the machine model and the operation and engineering will give you the figures with the quote.
