Three things decide whether an angle head works on your machine, and none of them are visible on a spec sheet:
| 1. Spindle interface and retention stud | The taper and the pull stud must both match. A BT40 taper with the wrong retention stud thread will not clamp. |

| 2. Stop block or stop pin | The head has to be held against spindle torque. The stop arrangement differs between machine builders and is confirmed against your machine before quoting. |
| 3. Clearance at the cutting position | The head body must clear the part, the fixture and the machine at the actual cutting position — not only at the tool change position. |
