Citizen CNC Turning Centers — Mongtec Tooling Compatibility

Mongtec Precision, a Taiwanese tooling brand headquartered in Taichung, Taiwan, manufactures BMT and VDI (DIN 69880) driven and static tool holders. Citizen Machinery builds two families: Miyano fixed-headstock turret turning centers (BNA, BNE, BNJ) that use BMT turrets, and Cincom Swiss-type sliding-head lathes (L, M, D, R series) that use a gang / Swiss interface. Pick your machine below, or contact engineering — the exact interface for a given model is confirmed at RFQ.

Interface data is drawn from publicly available Citizen / Miyano machine specifications and tooling application listings. Mongtec's BMT and VDI holders apply to the Miyano turret turning centers; the Cincom Swiss-type machines use a machine-specific gang interface confirmed at RFQ. Mongtec supplies open-standard BMT and VDI interfaces; it does not manufacture or claim compatibility with proprietary quick-change systems such as WTO QuickFlex®.

Supported Citizen models

For Citizen Miyano turret turning centers, see the dedicated Miyano compatibility page. Cincom Swiss machines: send the model for RFQ.

Frequently asked questions

Does Mongtec make tooling for Citizen machines?

For Citizen Miyano turret turning centers (BNA, BNE, BNJ), yes — Mongtec supplies BMT holders. For Cincom Swiss-type sliding-head lathes, driven tools use a gang / Swiss interface confirmed per machine at RFQ.

Is Miyano the same as Citizen?

Miyano is Citizen Machinery's fixed-headstock turret turning-center brand. Mongtec has a dedicated Miyano page covering the BNA, BNE and BNJ BMT-turret machines.

What BMT size does a Miyano BNA / BNE use?

Miyano BNA and BNE turret turning centers use BMT-pattern disc turrets; the exact size is confirmed per machine at RFQ. See the Miyano page for details.

Can Mongtec supply driven tools for Cincom Swiss machines?

Cincom L, M, D and R machines are Swiss-type with gang tooling; that interface is machine-specific. Send the model via the contact page and engineering will confirm what can be supplied at RFQ.

What precision and documentation do the holders ship with?

Driven holders are built to 0.003 mm runout or better and ship with an individual inspection report.
