Swiss-type (sliding headstock) lathes hold their tooling in fixed positions on a gang or comb layout rather than in a rotating turret. Each position is machine-specific: the holder body, the mounting face and the drive coupling are defined by the machine builder, which is why a Swiss-type holder is identified by the builder's own reference code rather than by a BMT or VDI size.
B2E22 is a static position — the tool does not rotate. It holds the cutting tool rigidly for turning, drilling or boring while the workpiece turns.
