Turret interface and Mongtec article numbers — TOOL HOLDER SELECTION GUIDE Ver 2026.08

Haas turret rule: ST-10/15/20/25/30/35 base models and the SS versions use a BOT bolt-on turret (bolt patterns 45×70, 45×80, 60×50.5 and 70×105 mm); Y-axis models (ST-20Y, ST-25Y, ST-30Y, ST-35Y, DS-30Y) use the BMT65 hybrid turret. The optional VDI turret is confirmed per machine. The same model can be built with a different turret, so this is a general rule, not a confirmed interface for your machine — email the machine model and a photo of the turret face; the interface is confirmed in Mongtec's formal quotation.

FAQ

Which tool holders fit the Haas ST-15 / ST-15Y?

Mongtec supplies BMT and VDI (DIN 69880) driven tool holders and static tooling compatible with the Haas turret platform. Interface: BOT 45×70 mm. The exact configuration is confirmed by Mongtec engineering at RFQ.

Can Mongtec tooling replace the original or European-brand tool holders on this machine?

Yes. BMT and VDI are open machine-side standards, so switching supplier does not require any turret modification. Mongtec also publishes cross-reference pages for WTO, Heimatec, EWS, Eppinger, BIG and other brands.

What is the lead time?

Lead time is quoted per order and ships from Taichung, Taiwan.

Mongtec tool holders for the Haas BOT turret

Yes — Mongtec supplies driven and static tool holders for this turret. Haas BOT turrets mount the holder directly to the turret face by bolt pattern — Mongtec supplies 45 × 70, 45 × 80, 70 × 105 and 60 × 50.5 mm patterns, in both metric and inch clamping. Some Haas machines are also specified with VDI30 depending on the option chosen, so the turret should be confirmed before ordering.

Turret coverage: Haas ST-10, ST-15 · SL-20, SL-30 · SL / ST-40 · TL-15, TL-25 · DS-30 · ST-20, ST-25, ST-30, ST-35 (BOT and 12-station hybrid turrets).

Mongtec driven and static tool holders are exported worldwide across five continents, and are supplied to machine tool manufacturers as well as to end users. Lead time is confirmed against the items and quantity you need.

To quote we need: the machine model and turret designation, the station count, a turret interface drawing or a clear photo of the turret face, the holder orientation (axial or radial) and the clamping or collet size you need, and the quantity. A drawing of the holder you are replacing works just as well.

Email info@mongtec.com to discuss your application and request drawings, or send an enquiry here. Mongtec engineering confirms the fit against your turret before quoting.

The turret decides, not the model name

Machine builders regularly ship the same model with different turrets — station count, model suffix and the number of keys all change the mounting. The Hardinge Conquest H51 is BMT55 in the 12-station build and BMT45 in the 16-station build; the Okuma GENOS L300 M is VDI40, while the L300 MW/MYW uses a 65×73 mm bolt pattern. This is the single most common reason a driven tool holder arrives and will not bolt on. BMT bolt pattern reference — 38 patterns by machine builder →

Which live tooling fits a BOT 45×70 mm turret?

Whether a holder mounts is decided by the turret bolt pattern and the drive coupling, not by the machine name alone. The types below are published by Mongtec for this interface; the exact article number is confirmed against the actual turret drawing at RFQ.
