Mazak QTE 200 M/MS/MY/MSY — Live Tooling & Tool Holders

Mongtec Precision, a Taiwanese tooling brand headquartered in Taichung, Taiwan, designs and engineers driven tool holders and static tooling for the Mazak QTE 200 M/MS/MY/MSY on the open machine-side BMT and VDI (DIN 69880) standards. This model is published with a BMT68 turret; Mongtec engineering confirms it against the actual turret drawing at RFQ, and every driven unit ships with an individual inspection report.

Turret interface and Mongtec article numbers — TOOL HOLDER SELECTION GUIDE Ver 2026.08

Mazak turret rule: 2-axis turning models (no live tooling) use a BOT bolt-on turret and take Mongtec bolt-on static holders. Live-tool models (M / MY / MS / MSY) use the BMT68 driven-tool turret; larger QT 300/350 12-station builds use BMT80. Mazak's VDI40 turret is a Mazak-specific clamping system — a standard VDI40 holder does not fit, but Mongtec supplies VDI40 holders to the Mazak interface.

Article numbers shown as links have a specification page with the catalogue drawing. The rest are published in the Mongtec selection guide; Mongtec confirms the final article number against your turret drawing at RFQ.

Mongtec also supplies BMT40, BMT60, BMT68 and BMT80 holders and builder-specific interfaces (Mazak, Nakamura-Tome, Haas BOT, Okuma BOT, Muratec BOT) — the 228 article numbers published here are a subset of the range. Mongtec tooling is exported to five continents and supplied to machine-tool builders. Lead time is confirmed per item and quantity at quotation.

Check the turret, not just the model name

Machine builders routinely offer the same model with more than one turret — station count, model suffix and key count all change the mounting. Hardinge Conquest H51 is BMT55 in the 12-station build and BMT45 in the 16-station build; Okuma GENOS L300 M is VDI40 while L300 MW/MYW uses a 65×73 bolt pattern. It is the most common reason a driven tool holder arrives and will not bolt on. Reference table: 38 BMT turret bolt patterns by machine builder →

FAQ

Which turret interface does the Mazak QTE 200 M/MS/MY/MSY use?

Machine-specific tooling catalogues publish this model with a BMT68 turret. Machine builders do sometimes ship the same model with more than one turret, so Mongtec confirms the interface against the actual turret drawing before quoting. That check is free and takes one email.

Where are the dimensioned drawings?

The catalogue dimensioned drawing is published on the page of each Mongtec article number. After your enquiry Mongtec confirms compatibility with your actual spindle, turret or pull stud and gives the final article number — that check is free.

Can Mongtec supply a special version?

Yes. Special angles, extended reach, high-pressure internal coolant and non-standard mountings are supplied to order. Describe the operation and the machine.

Mongtec tool holders for the Mazak BMT68 turret

Yes — Mongtec supplies driven and static tool holders for this turret. BMT68 and BMT80 sit outside the BMT45–BMT85 range published as article numbers on this site, because Mazak turrets are built to Mazak’s own interface rather than to a generic BMT size. Mongtec supplies to that interface and supplies it regularly, in both metric and inch clamping.

Turret coverage: Mazak QTC / QTU 100–350 M, MY, MS, MSY · QT / QTS 100–250 M, MY, MS, MSY · MZ 68 B, C · QT-Ez 8–12 M, MY, MSY. Mazak BOT turrets (QT / QTS 200–350, QTN 200–350, Dual Turn 20, Mega Turn Smart 500 / 600, Super Quick Turn 200–300) are covered by a separate Mongtec range.

Mongtec driven and static tool holders are exported worldwide across five continents, and are supplied to machine tool manufacturers as well as to end users. Lead time is confirmed against the items and quantity you need.

To quote we need: the machine model and turret designation, the station count, a turret interface drawing or a clear photo of the turret face, the holder orientation (axial or radial) and the clamping or collet size you need, and the quantity. A drawing of the holder you are replacing works just as well.

Email info@mongtec.com to discuss your application and request drawings, or send an enquiry here. Mongtec engineering will confirm the fit against your turret before anything is quoted.

The turret decides, not the model name

Machine builders regularly ship the same model with different turrets — station count, model suffix and the number of keys all change the mounting. The Hardinge Conquest H51 is BMT55 in the 12-station build and BMT45 in the 16-station build; the Okuma GENOS L300 M is VDI40, while the L300 MW/MYW uses a 65×73 mm bolt pattern. This is the single most common reason a driven tool holder arrives and will not bolt on. BMT bolt pattern reference — 38 patterns by machine builder →

Which live tooling fits the Mazak QTE 200 M/MS/MY/MSY?

The turret interface for this machine is confirmed at RFQ, so no article number is published here. These are the driven tool types Mongtec publishes — which one fits is confirmed once the turret is identified.
