Victor VTurn II-23 / 26CV (DIN 5480) — Live Tooling & Tool Holders

The Victor VTurn II-23 / 26CV (DIN 5480) uses a VDI (DIN 5480) turret interface. Mongtec Precision, a Taiwanese tooling brand headquartered in Taichung, Taiwan, supplies driven tool holders and static tooling on the open machine-side BMT and VDI (DIN 69880) standards used by this machine class. The exact Mongtec model for your machine configuration is confirmed by Mongtec engineering at RFQ, and every driven unit ships with an individual inspection report.

Turret interface and Mongtec article numbers — TOOL HOLDER SELECTION GUIDE Ver 2026.08

Same model, different turret: station count, model suffix and build year change the turret interface. Mongtec confirms the interface from the machine model and a turret photo before quoting.

Mongtec also supplies BMT40, BMT60, BMT68 and BMT80 holders and builder-specific interfaces (Mazak, Nakamura-Tome, Haas BOT, Okuma BOT, Muratec BOT) — the 228 article numbers published here are a subset of the range. Mongtec tooling is exported to five continents and supplied to machine-tool builders. Lead time is confirmed per item and quantity at quotation.

FAQ

Which tool holders fit the Victor VTurn II-23 / 26CV (DIN 5480)?

Mongtec supplies BMT and VDI (DIN 69880) driven tool holders and static tooling compatible with the Victor turret platform. Interface: VDI (DIN 5480). The exact configuration is confirmed by Mongtec engineering at RFQ.

Can Mongtec tooling replace the original or European-brand tool holders on this machine?

Yes. BMT and VDI are open machine-side standards, so switching supplier does not require any turret modification. Mongtec also publishes cross-reference pages for WTO, Heimatec, EWS, Eppinger, BIG and other brands.

What is the lead time and how is quality documented?

Lead time is quoted per order and ships from Taichung, Taiwan. Every Mongtec driven tool holder is inspected before shipment (runout, torque, balancing) and ships with an individual inspection report.

Not sure which turret interface this machine has?

We have not published an interface for this model because the public machine specifications do not state it consistently, and a guessed figure is worse than a blank field. Three steps settle it:

  1. Look at the tool pocket. A round bore that a cylindrical shank slides into and clamps → VDI per DIN 69880. A flat face with a bolt pattern, holder bolted on the end face → BMT.
  2. Measure or read the size. For VDI the shank bore diameter is the size — 30 mm is VDI30, 40 mm is VDI40. For BMT the BMT45/55/65 marking is usually on the machine plate or in the manual.
  3. Photograph the turret face. A phone photo is enough, and it is the fastest route — we compare it against the actual turret drawing and tell you the interface and the article numbers that fit.

BMT is not published by ISO or DIN, so even the marking in step 2 is a starting point, not proof. The drawing decides.

The turret decides, not the model name

Machine builders regularly ship the same model with different turrets — station count, model suffix and the number of keys all change the mounting. The Hardinge Conquest H51 is BMT55 in the 12-station build and BMT45 in the 16-station build; the Okuma GENOS L300 M is VDI40, while the L300 MW/MYW uses a 65×73 mm bolt pattern. This is the single most common reason a driven tool holder arrives and will not bolt on. BMT bolt pattern reference — 38 patterns by machine builder →

Which live tooling fits the Victor VTurn II-23 / 26CV (DIN 5480)?

The turret interface for this machine is confirmed at RFQ, so no article number is published here. These are the driven tool types Mongtec publishes — which one fits is confirmed once the turret is identified.
