Accuway Hobbing Driven Tools

Hobbing holders cut gear teeth and splines on the lathe by synchronising the hob with the main spindle, so a geared part is finished complete in one setup. Mongtec Precision, a Taiwanese tooling brand headquartered in Taichung, Taiwan, builds them to mount on Accuway turrets, published for BMT40, BMT55, BMT65, VDI30.

Designed for Integrated Gear Machining

Gear hobbing traditionally relies on specialized gear-cutting machinery, which increases capital investment and process transfer costs. Our Hobbing Driven Tools can be integrated directly into Accuway multitasking turning-milling centers, equipping your machine with continuous gear-cutting capabilities and enabling complete gear production in a single setup.

Reduces the need for secondary setups.

Lowers outsourcing costs.

Improves tooth profile consistency.

Maximizes machine utilization (OEE).

Getting the right holder

The machine model alone does not decide the holder. The same model can leave the factory with different turrets — station count, model suffix and key arrangement all change the mounting. Tell us the machine, the turret and the operation and we confirm the mounting before quoting.

Already using another brand? Send the drawing or the article number of the holder you run today and Mongtec will convert it to an equivalent Mongtec holder — same mounting, same reach, same output.
