Speeder holders step the turret drive up so small-diameter cutters reach their correct surface speed on a lathe whose driven-tool spindle cannot turn fast enough. Mongtec publishes speed-increaser holders for 14 Accuway machine models, on turret interfaces BMT40, BMT55, BMT65, VDI30. On these machines the holder is used for running small-diameter drills, engraving cutters and thread mills at spindle speeds the turret drive alone cannot reach.
