Nakamura-Tome turret rule: the BMT44, BMT55 and BMT65 turrets on Nakamura machines are Nakamura-specific designs — standard catalogue BMT holders do not fit them. Machine builders regularly ship the same model with different turrets — station count, model suffix and the number of keys all change the mounting. The Hardinge Conquest H51 is BMT55 in the 12-station build and BMT45 in the 16-station build; the Okuma GENOS L300 M is VDI40, while the L300 MW/MYW uses a 65×73 mm bolt pattern.
