Everything here connects something to an HSK-A spindle that was not made for one, or gives you a blank to finish yourself. Morse-taper drills and reamers, Jacobs-taper drill chucks, HSK-C shank tools, screw-in milling cutters, and stock for making specials.
The trade is always the same, and it is worth stating plainly on an HSK page in particular: an adapter adds a joint, and a joint gives back some of what you bought HSK for. The face-contact interface at the spindle is unaffected, but the second interface — adapter to tool — has its own run-out and its own compliance, and the two add rather than cancel. For drilling, reaming and tapping that is usually fine. For a finishing cut it usually is not, and an integral holder in the right interface is cheaper over the life of the job.
MTA / MTB Morse taper adapters, MT1–MT5: MTA retains by tang, MTB by drawbar. Use the drawbar version where the machine allows it — a tang can let the taper creep under a hard-pulling drill.
APU and CPU drill chuck holders, Ø1–16 mm, for keyless and precision drill chucks.
TC quick-change tapping chucks with length compensation, so the tap advances at its own pitch rather than being driven by the Z feed. Still worth having on blind holes and small taps even on a machine with rigid tapping.
SOM and M screw-in milling cutter holders, M8–M16, in A lengths from 51 to 179 mm for reaching into pockets.
MOD runout-adjustable flange adapters — the one adapter family whose added joint can be dialled true after assembly instead of simply accepted. If you must adapt, adapt with these.
HSK-C sleeves to run HSK-C shank tooling in an HSK-A spindle, UM adjustable tool holders, boring bar blanks Ø50–120 mm for grinding your own specials, and ATC alignment tools — gauges for setting the tool-change arm to the spindle, not cutting tools.
Dimension symbols are the catalogue's own and refer to the dimension drawing printed for each product. Not at the spindle — that joint is unchanged. It adds a second joint further out, with its own run-out and flexibility. Judge it by the operation: fine for drilling and tapping, questionable for finishing.
Drawbar wherever the machine supports it. A tang drive relies on the slot and can let the taper creep under a hard-pulling drill; a drawbar pulls it positively home.
Physically often yes, and it is almost always the wrong answer — errors add and stiffness drops twice. If you are stacking, the real fix is one purpose-made holder.
They are supplied as blanks for the shop to finish. Confirm material and heat-treat condition with Mongtec at RFQ before planning a grinding operation.
