A head-rotation type with a deliberately minimised body: the catalogue's phrase is minimized the body for reducing the bite-interference. On a slender shaft with a tool running right up to the tailstock, body diameter is the constraint, and MWN takes it down to Ø30–62 mm against Ø49–105 mm for a standard MSN. Run-out max 0.003 mm.
MHB — for the manual lathe
Head-rotation type, slim body, and catalogued specifically for elaborate turning work such as small-shaft manufacture. It is the centre for a toolroom lathe rather than a CNC turret: precision of rotation max 0.003 mm in Morse 2 to Morse 6, in a body that does not get in the way of a hand-fed tool.
MSHF — eccentric adjustment
This one solves a specific and irritating problem. If the tailstock centreline and the chuck centreline do not agree, every part comes off with a taper on it, and re-aligning a tailstock is a half-day job. The MSHF is a live centre with up to 2 mm of eccentricity adjustment built into it, so the centre is moved to the spindle rather than the machine to the centre. It runs on high-speed, high-precision bearings, so correcting the alignment does not cost you the speed.
Article numbers — dimensions in mm
Dimension symbols are the catalogue's own and refer to the dimension drawing printed for each series. Quote the series name together with the model number — the same model number is used in more than one series, so "MSNN 2601001" identifies a part and "2601001" on its own does not. A dash means the catalogue does not print a usable value for that cell; those are confirmed in writing at RFQ.

Frequently asked
What does head-rotation type mean?
Only the head turns with the work; the shaft and body stay still. The alternative — shaft rotation, as in the MHN series — turns the whole centre shaft. Head rotation allows a smaller body around the bearing.
How much misalignment can the MSHF take out?
A maximum of 2 mm of eccentricity, per the catalogue. Beyond that the tailstock itself needs aligning.
Is MWN sealed better than the standard series?
It is catalogued as the waterproof type. Confirm the specific ingress condition with Mongtec at RFQ if the machine floods at high pressure — the catalogue does not print an IP rating.
